FACIALS:
Who should get a facial?
Everyone! of course there are limits; medications and medical treatments can prevent you from being able to receive certain services.
How often should I get a facial?
Every 4-6 weeks is a good rule of thumb. Of course this differs from person to person, as everyone's skin condition and type are different. By the end of your first service, we will discuss my treatment plan and recommendations for you (including frequency and duration).
What kind of facial is good for me?
All facial services include a skin analysis, so that I can customize according to your skin type and concerns i.e. Acne, anti-aging, brightening, sensitive, and so on. My personal favorite services to get and give are the Hydrafacials. However if you're undecided, just leave the specifics to me, and book a service that fits the amount of time you wish to spend together.
What products do you use?
Hydropeptide, Hydrafacial, and Skin Fitness Therapy products.
What should I know before my facial service?
Do not get any outside facial waxing services done within the 2 days prior to your scheduled facial. If i don’t know where the wax was applied, I won’t know what areas to avoid with reactive products.
Stop using prescription retinoids (Retin-a, retinol) a week before your scheduled appointment
Don’t get your hair done. If you absolutely have to, I can tie up your hair and protect it from the steam, however it may result in not being able to bring products all the way to your hair line. Meaning some of your forehead will not get the same treatment as the rest of your face.
What can I expect after my facial service?
Expect to be so happy with your skin that you just want to keep touching it. BUT DON'T. I get it, it’s all smooth and glowing, but give it a couple of hours. You just paid for these results, don’t undo it.
No Makeup! In an ideal world, I would recommend no makeup until at least 12 hours have passed. Of course life does not always allow this. Still its best to wait at least 1-2 hours before applying a full face of makeup. Give the finishing product time to absorb and penetrate. After all, that's what you paid for.
HYDRAFACIALS:
What is a Hydrafacial?
It is a result driven facial that uses vortex technology to achieve gentle exfoliation, pain-free extractions, and an antioxidant treatment that results in clean, glowing , and smooth skin.
Why should I get one?
You shouldn’t have to pick between results and relaxation. Hydrafacial services provide both, with the added benefit of healthy skin that lasts.
What is the down time?
Absolutely none. Hydrafacials are non-invasive. At most, you MAY have some redness or blushing, if this occurs it typically goes away in about 20-40 minutes after the completion of service.
ENHANCEMENTS:
Do Enhancements add extra time?
No, all enhancements are added into the steps of our facial protocols.
How do I book my facial enhancements online?
When booking your facial there will be opportunity for you to add a note for us. Just type in any enhancement you are interested in. The item(s) will be added to your total upon checking out in person the day of your service.
GENTLEMEN:
Do you have Gentleman’s services?
All menu items are customized by individual not by gender. This means all adults and teens.
Should I shave the day of my facial?
Not if you don’t want to. If you do shave, just know that you may be a little sensitive during the facial, as shaving is a form of exfoliation.
What if I have a beard?
You can still receive a facial service if you have a beard, depending on the length, it can be included in most of the steps, except for and acids or active resurfacing agents. But don’t worry, we have techniques so you won’t miss out on a thing.
WAXING:
Do I need to prep before my waxing appointment?
No prep is necessary, I clean the area beforehand, and soothe it afterwards.
What kind of wax do you use?
Both hard and soft (strip) wax. If you have questions about the types of wax, we can absolutely discuss that during your appointment consultation. Brands: Berodin and Satin Smooth
How long does my hair have to be?
At least the length similar to a grain of rice, so that the wax has something to grab on to.
How often should I wax?
Every 4-6 weeks depending on the area and hair growth rate.
Can I wax after a fresh spray tan?
Waxing will remove the spray tan pigment.
Can I wax if i spent the day in the sun?
I will not wax any sunburned area
Can I go in the sun AFTER waxing?
You can but you must wear an SPF. Waxing is a form of exfoliation, so you are more prone to sunburn and damage afterwards.
MAKEUP:
Can I get waxed the same day as my makeup application?
It is not recommended to receive any facial waxing services within 2 days of desired makeup application as the makeup will not stick to waxed areas and can result in breakouts later. If any brow shaping or cleaning is necessary, we can do tweezing/trimming.
What products do you use?
I do not use one particular brand of makeup, as I feel that no makeup line is completely comprehensive. Everything used in my kit has been tested personally by myself and because I have sensitive skin, I will not use any product with harsh or irritating ingredients.
